Practice Schedule

  • The week and next weeks schedules are posted on the website. We apologize for any moved days for groups, due to Oakstone being unavailable and the limited timed this week to host practice, we needed to move groups around.
  • The spring schedule will be finalized soon and it will be consistant each week due to no meets occuring throughout the spring until the middle of May.
  • The age group swimmers will be done practicign and go on break 3/21-4/6, we will return 4/7 for practices.
    • Coach Jim should be reaching out to those who are month to month billing regarding the final week on March not being used for practice. A credit will be applied to your account.

Spring/Summer

  • Now that swimmers are done training for meets, we understand if Spring and Summer is on your mind for how you will be continuing with WAC.
  • We highly recommend swimmers swim with the team throughout the spring and summer but we understand if you plan to break and return for fall. We find the most growth for swimmers often occurs in the summer season. Long course is a great way for swimmers to grow within the sport. Not all swimmers will train long course, but they will be exposed to it through meets.
  • We will be releasing the summer schedule as soon as possible, it is currently in its early draft stage.
  • The schedule for spring often remains the same as fall/winter, however if Oakstone remains unavailable, the schedule will need to modified for all groups to be at WJC. If Oakstone returns, the spring schedule will be the same as fall/winter.
  • Meets for summer have been added to the website. You are welcome to declare for those at this time with an RSVP. The event files might not be added until much later from now, as soon as they are added, you will be notified.

Banquet Awards

  • During the banquet, we will have folders for swimmers to pick up with all their ribbons and medals they have been awarded throughout the season. Some swimmers might have missed last seasons pickup so their folder may be pretty full!

  • The banquet is a celebration and recognition of the 2024 long course season as well as the 24-25 short course season so some swimmers may find ribbons and medals from summer meets.

  • When you arrive to the banquet and check in, you will see a table with all the folders. Please pick your folder up right away so you dont leave without it!

  • It might be the case that a swimmer may not have finished high enough at a meet to be awarded ribbons or medals, if you dont see your last name, that is why.

  • Siblings will have their awards in the same folder so you might have to do some sorting when you get home.

  • If you are not attending the banquet and cannot pick up your awards, they will be stored in a box at the WJC pool. You can ask a coach to grab your folder at any practice in the spring. You could also ask someone who is attending the banquet to grab your folder if you see them frequently but I will not be responsible for any undelivered awards if you choose to do that!

That is all for now, have a great rest of your day and we will see you at the pool and in the next newsletter!
